First, You will click onto the following ancient art forms, find out what they are, and write in short answers in the survey response: Click here. Then you will design three sculptures of your own on a paper and create a 3D sculpture/ceramic piece of each of your designs.
The following will be graded:
1. designs (three)...three 2d drawings of what you will sculpt for your sculpture/ceramic pieces.
2. a Cylinder Seal--cuneiform (click here Cylinder Seals click here for Wiki site on Cylinder Seals and Cuneiform )
3. a Shawabti (click here Shawabti )
4. Mari figure (click here Mari figurines.)
5. Your final piece is an ancient pot with surface designs that complement the spherical structure of your pot. You are required to blend the INSIDE and OUTSIDE of the pot so that you can paint the surface similar to the styles seen in Ancient Art. Click here for Ancient drawing styles.
